Joomla Auto Ads

Automatically insert Google Adsense, Yahoo Ads, HTLM or Text into your Joomla content

This Joomla mambot/plugin will automatically insert any html, adsense codes (both new and old) or just plain text inside your Joomla content items so that the text wraps around the ad which is generally a far more effective way to display ads. Useful for large or small sites the mambot will save you having to manually edit each article every time you update your ads.

You can also choose to stop ads from showing on certain items by just entering in the menu id's of sections you want to exclude.

Installation

Login to your Joomla admin panel and click on 'installers' and then 'mambots' and then browse to where you saved the plugin. Click 'Upload File & Install' and your done.

Configuring the Joomla Auto Ads Plugin

Click on 'Mambots' and then 'Site Mambots' and then scroll down untill you see the Joomla Auto Ads plugin. Click on the title to edit it and you will now see the screen where you can change the parameters and publish the mambot.

Parameters

Exclude these Menu Itemid's

If you don't want your ads to display on some content items just insert a comma separated list (1,2,3) of menu item id's , if you're not sure what a menu item id is then go to the front end of your site and look for the content that you don't want the mambot to display on and look at the URL - the last number is usually the menu item id:

index.php?option=com_content&task=blogsection&id=4&Itemid=394

or if you are using sef URL's

/content/blogsection/4/394/

Ad code

This is the text area that you can just copy and paste your adsense code, html or text that you would like the Joomla auto ads to display within your articles. If you have problems with unwanted line breaks using javascript ads (or if the ad won't display properly) you can use {mosloadposition}, to do this just create a new module position under Site/ Template Manager/ Module Positions or use an existing module position, then create your custom module and set it as published on all the menu items/sections where you want it to show. Next return to Mambots  /Joomla auto ads and enter in {mosloadposition user1} into the ad code area (change the user1 to the module position you created or chose).

 

The Joomla Ads mambot will then automatically insert the module into all your Joomla content items/articles except any that you chose to exclude. Using the {mosloadposition} method is particularly useful if you want to rotate banners within your Joomla articles - you could then publish your banner module this way - without having to edit each article.

Before or After content?

Select whether you'd like the ad code to be displayed before or after your content item.

Alignment

Select how you would like the code to be aligned - aligned left or right wrapped in the article text, center or at the bottom of the article.

Padding

Select how much padding/white space you would like around the ad code.
